Job Description

  • This role is mainly responsible for managing and supervising all Bids sent to the company from inception to the last stage (commercials).

Responsibilities

  • Management of tender activities
  • Responsible for gathering specific intelligence on projects that have been bided for, as well as upcoming projects and bid opening/assessment to aide decision-making in regards to projects and wins.
  • Responsible for ensuring tenders are submitted consistently ahead of the deadlines set by the tendering authority or body.
  • Ensure updating of all spreadsheets, databases and company clients records and to produce reports for both senior management and for the board of directors when required.
  • Check various Tender Search systems on a daily basis and identify any contracts which may be of interest to the Company, either to bid or for market intelligence purposes.
  • Updating Vendor Registration with our various clients.
  • Assisting the Recruitment & Mobilization Department to source for appropriate candidates to meet client request.
  • Participate in bid management process and procedures in line with the standards of preparing bids and contracts.
  • Assist in understanding the Request for Information and Quotes, deciding timelines and responsibilities
  • Understand and implement the rules of tendering, assist in undertaking a Bid/No Bid exercise to decide whether to make a submission or not.
  • Work closely with the recruitment team to have a clear understanding of contract requirements as regards specific projects
  • Manage and maintain effective relationships with client companies while sourcing for new leads.
  • Work closely with The Admin and Accounts team to ensure Contracts are in place
  • Conducts customer feedback survey to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Follow up with clients on status updates on tenders submitted.
  • Ensure registration with statutory bodies i.e. NIPEX, DPR are up to date.
  • Processing of all Company Permits and licenses & Responsible for communicating effectively with clients, problem-solving challenges and issuing recommended solutions leading to securing major contracts in the industry.
  • Liaise with Managing Director to ensure the pricing for commercial tender are competitive enough before submitting to clients.
  • Monitor Competitors, and regular update management on new competitor’s business strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences and related courses
  • Excellent Negotiation & Communication Skills
  • 1 - 2 years experience in business development and commercial activities related to contracts, tenders and proposals
  • Also experience in delivering Manpower services for the Oil & Gas sector
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Attention to details, pro-active and a team player
  • Flexible and able to comply with strict deadlines
  • Commutable distance to Lekki Phase 1.
