We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Human Resources Specialist

Job Locations: Kano

Summary of Position


  • The HR Specialist shall be responsible to prepare compensation and benefits packages, set up and review company policies, maintain updated employee records and ensure a healthy workplace by providing HR procedures.
  • He/she will have wide knowledge in all HR functions.

Detailed Listing of Responsibilities

  • Drafted, developed and implemented HR policies and procedures throughout the organization
  • Recruit and coordinate, interviewing, background references, and documentation for staff hiring
  • Conduct and support region-wide employee surveys and identify needs to be addressed
  • Design and Implement succession planning, and talent development programs
  • Prepare people data analysis and reports
  • Administrate employees offboarding
  • Provide advice to managers on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Organize first-day orientation programs, schedule new hires' training, and processing employment documents, and add them to the company HR System
  • Implement and ensure quality control of HR and People related policies, procedures, and guidelines with the company's strategic initiatives manages the administrative side of people management (Employment contracts, job offers, probation completion letters, termination letters, etc.) together with our legal team
  • Participate in Ad hoc HR projects, preparation of PowerPoints
  • Distribute, complete, and processed paperwork for new hires
  • Planned quarterly and annual performance review sessions
  • Updated employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
  • Maintained organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records.
  • Forecast hiring needs and ensures the recruitment process runs smoothly
  • Handled staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures.
  • Conducted new hire orientation and benefits orientation to build a strong foundation for new employees and increase employee engagement
  • Processed payroll in collaboration with the finance team
  • Collated, track timesheets and leave administration
  • Coach management and teams to promote and facilitate career growth and employees’ development with a focus on learning and development
  • Implemented training and development plans
  • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labour legislation
  • Any other duties as assigned by the organization

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in any related discipline. Master's Degree with a concentration in Business, Human Resources or Psychology would be an added advantage.
  • 5+ years of previous Human Resource experience
  • Strong people person, good at contributing to positive company culture, and able to resolve conflicts
  • Good analytical skills and ability to present information well
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel is required
  • Good time management skills, able to manage several projects at the same time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with constant change and a rapidly growing team
  • Can do attitude, able to work independently and with tight deadlines.
