Miva is a Pan- African Distance e-Learning University that is built on a couple of beliefs: Firstly, we believe that the traditional brick and mortar approach to tertiary education is no longer a viable option in serving learners on the African continent. This approach will not provide the capacity and efficacy for the people of the region.

Job Position: Business Development Lead

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Overall Function

  • We are seeking an experienced Business Development Lead for our university who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive enrollment and revenue growth.
  • The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful sales and business development within the higher education industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective students and corporate partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive enrollment growth, including corporate partnerships and alliances.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, alumni, and corporate partners to drive business growth.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective students and corporate partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with corporate partners to ensure mutual satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to increase enrollment and revenue.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth within the higher education industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions to meet the needs of prospective students and corporate partners.
  • Responsible for recruiting, training and overseeing the telemarketing team

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, an Advanced Degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of prior work experience with partnership development, employer relations, and sales.
  • Experience in approaching, and communicating with senior-level executives across diverse organizations.
  • Experience using B2B marketing tools and CRMs (such as Freshsales, salesforce) to facilitate effective management reporting.
  • Applicant brings with them well-established networks and industry contacts to deliver on our ambitious B2B sales targets.
  • Good familiarity with corporate decision-making processes including budget processes, appropriation, protocols, and communications.
  • Experience with the development and execution of partnership agreements.

Remuneration
N400,000 - N500,000 monthly (Net) with benefits.
