Job Position: Senior Portfolio Analyst

Job Location: Rivers State

The Job


  • The successful candidate shall have a full-time role within the project portfolio and risk management unit.
  • The Senior Portfolio Analyst is to support and coordinate the day-today operation and administration of the processes, tools and resources for the portfolio management processes throughout the portfolio funnel from Assess to Execute Phases.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in developing credible solutions that take full advantage of Project Portfolio Management end to end processes for project prioritization/ optimization.
  • Assist in all portfolio management records keeping and archiving.
  • Support all portfolio analysis activities (including for Project Prioritization, FTE planning, Value and Portfolio Risk Analysis) and reports accordingly to the Portfolio Manager.
  • Responsible for key deliverables and follow up actions from the various forums/sessions for all events in the portfolio annual calendar.
  • Updates and ensures the accuracy of the portfolio management templates, forms, checklists etc required for the performance of all the portfolio management activities.
  • Assist as the secretary to the portfolio ORB and ensures accuracy and completeness of portfolio related submissions (including reports) to the portfolio DRB.
  • Prepares periodic portfolio performance/status reports for the Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Sponsor.
  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate portfolio database, in collaboration with Portfolio Leads.
  • Maintains a Five-year CAPEX demand forecast.
  • Maintains a Five-year FTE demand forecast.
  • Responsible for managing the Portfolio Planning Calendar and all the portfolio management events.

The Person
The right candidate should possess the following:

  • Requires project services and analytical skills like planning/ scheduling but also broader front end /project management and commercial skills to bring experience and credible judgment to the role.
  • Experience as a Delivery or Services Lead for a portfolio of projects is also critical.

Education

  • A University Degree in Engineering, Statistics or Economics.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years industry experience in Project Services or Project Management roles.
  • With at least 5 years’ experience on Brownfield Portfolio projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and SAP.

Job Position: Principal Planning Engineer

Job Location: Rivers

The Job

  • The successful candidate would be required to develop, manage and maintain a centralized planning and scheduling system for the overall Client’s CAPEX Projects Portfolio that will ensure effective schedule control, facilitate project delivery within established targets and provide key information for management reporting to achieve Departmental KPI’s.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide project management support in the development of the Client’s Project Portfolio activities, resources planning leading to the creation of the overall Project Portfolio baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance to achieve schedule performance.
  • Maintain the overall Project Portfolio schedule at level 1 to 4 required to develop and execute each approved project in their hierarchy relationship to meet the Client’s projects requirements.
  • Develop and update the planning and schedule procedures to ensure sustainable and continuous improvements in line with the Client’s Quality Management System requirements.
  • Execute schedule control activities to monitor physical progress against key deliverables and track trends on schedule over-run and under-run to identify timely corrective actions for the achievement of schedule performance targets.
  • Provide input to monthly progress updates; forecast completions, together with the critical path and trend analysis as input to management reporting to reflect how Client’s project objectives are being achieved.
  • Evaluate bid schedules and review contractor execution plan and develop the key milestone dates for critical projects for alignment with the overall integrated Project Portfolio Schedule. Verify that the contractors reported progress is correct and accurately reflected in the overall Project Portfolio integrated schedule for accurate management reporting.
  • Review scope change requests for the Impact on schedules and the critical path of the project and prepare reconciliations between earlier schedules and the current schedule and provide schedule impact assessments to change control process for accurate progress monitoring.
  • Perform risk and sensitivity analysis on project schedule or critical path analysis and evaluate impaction overall Project portfolio plan.

The Person
The right candidate should possess the following:

Education:

  • A University Degree in Engineering

Experience:

  • 12 years post-graduate experience, of which at least 8 years in a planning role in oil and gas industry.
  • An understanding of contracting strategy, project optimization processes, construction constraints are prerequisite for the job.
  • Extensive skills in the use of Primavera-P6 planning tool is mandatory.
  • Ability to work across cultural boundaries
  • Preferred: Experience with qualitative modeling techniques and tools (Primavera Risk Analysis or similar).

Job Position: CAD Designer

Job Location: Rivers

The Job

  • The successful candidate shall participate in the activities of the clients Drawing Office; including update of Civil 2D drawings and 3D models for modifications from simple engineering changes and projects.
  • Ensure that all field verification works are carried out in a safe and efficient way.
  • He/she shall also support the outputs of other disciplines to ensure compliance to the Client’s Asset Information Management procedures, standards and formats.

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Drive the upgrade to “As-built” of civil data and documents including redlined drawings/technical documents from simple engineering changes and projects and design/drafting request from Client’s departments and sections.
  • Drive the conversion to native files of the Client’s civil documents types using AutoCAD, Micro Station, GTX Raster CAD and Microsoft Office software.
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation on AutoCAD to support the Client’s activities as required from projects and discipline in accordance with the Client’s Asset information Management procedures and applicable standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical designs for the draft works assigned.
  • Review drawings to ensure alignment with the Client’s approved procedures and applicable standards.
  • Propose improvements and initiatives on the Client’s CAD activities.
  • Incorporate as-built information on assigned drawings and related drawings in a controlled manner and upload into the Client’s Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) within the specified duration.
  • Maintain proper electronic filing system including revision control for all documents and drawings in hand.
  • Transfer non-standard file formats Into the standardized formats ensuring uniform and complete information.
  • Ensure all CADed drawings are saved on the Client’s EDMS in accordance to the file naming convention
  • Compile appropriate reports as required for specific assigned tasks in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Send weekly report to team lead on work progress
  • Keep abreast of changes to operating procedures, work instructions and control systems related to the function of CAD Designer,
  • Carryout all other activities assigned by supervisor and Line head.

The Person
The right candidate should possess the following:

  • HND / B.Sc or equivalent in any Engineering discipline preferably Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CAD and design works for the oil and gas industry
  • Experience shall include computer use of Microsoft Office as well as CAD specific software (Auto CAD, GTX Raster CAD, Micro Station).
