Konferge Online Photo-Trading Limited - As Africa’s first online photo trading platform, KONFERGE offers services that enable convenience in delivering photo services and products while also empowering players in the business of photography. Our platform provides photo logistics for photographers, vendors, and subscribers in the areas of online photo storage and online photo access; processing and printing; production and payment; marketing and distribution of their photo products/services (including on-site photo printing services). We guarantee the photographers, vendors, and stakeholders a wider market as well as the security of their products and payments. We are at the service of clients who organize and/or attend events where photos are taken. Clients can pre-register their events and KONFERGE would mobilize multiple photographers to give the event wider photo coverage.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Internal Audit Officer

Job Descriptions

  • Reporting to the CEO, this role involves ensuring compliance and prudent utilization of resources, providing strategic direction, managing and executing the Internal Audit Activity,
  • Coordinating specific processes to support the implementation and execution of the audit plan,
  • Monitoring compliance, preparing and presenting audit findings and recommendations, and providing assurance of compliance with statutory requirements, policies and procedures in line with International Audit Standards and the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Carry out Mandatory pre-payment checks on ALL expenditures (including at the Financial Commitment Level), develop and execute the Financial and Process Audit plan, and take charge of the internal audit function by identifying risks associated with business objectives and evaluating the controls in place.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Post Graduate Professional qualification – ACA, ACCA is an Advantage
  • At least three years of post-qualification experience.
  • First Degree, BSc from a reputable institution
  • Advanced Knowledge of computer skills with proficiency with Quickbooks, SOS inventory, and all MS packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project Manager & Access.
  • Principles and practices of Media Accounting and Bookkeeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance relationships with suppliers, contractors, and staff in order to achieve work goals.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate academic qualifications: such as an MBA from a reputable institution will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and Media.

2.) Business Development and Marketing Officer

Job Description

  • Reporting to Team Lead, Business Development / Marketing, this job role provides support for the department’s day-to-day tasks, including supporting the daily operations of the business development as well as contributing to the marketing plans, Product/Services development strategy and driving revenue volume for the company and the resultant outcomes.

Requirements

  • Relevant First Degree, B.Sc, or equivalent from a reputable institution – experience in a media company will be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of post qualification experience.
  • Previous marketing Experience with a top-flight media company.
  • Must have above-average software skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer care focus (internal and external).

Desirable:

  • Previous relevant experience in a media and event management company.

3.) Creative Photographer

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Team Lead Creative, this job role provides support for the department’s day-to-day tasks, including communicating with clients to set up a time and place for a photoshoot, maintaining and managing photography equipment, Submitting photos to appropriate persons, managing photography sessions, take the brief to understand specifications and work closely with our art team to develop the concept, capture and process images until you achieve desired results, shoot poses that don’t look posed, constantly improve image quality using various editing methods, use and maintain modern and traditional technical equipment (cameras, lenses etc.), arrange objects, scenes, lighting and background to adhere to specifications, direct participants, archive photographic images and maintain database, maintain an in-depth understanding of photographic best practices and procedures.

Requirements / Desirable

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with at least 2 years of work experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate client schedules
  • Knowledge of photography techniques
  • Ability to stand or crouch for hours during photoshoots
  • Proficiency with photo editing software and camera equipment
  • Good Communication skills, Proven professional shooting experience
  • Shooting, lighting, and printing skills
  • Competency in applying photographic best practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of the production process for online publishing and various printing applications
  • Eye-catching portfolio
  • Proficient with traditional and modern equipment
  • Solid knowledge of Photoshop and photobook design
  • Capture One, Lightroom, or other photography-specific software
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
