Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Location: Lekki Peninsula, Lagos, Nigeria

Reporting to: The MD

Job Description


  • Somkolch limited is a manufacturing and distribution company focused on providing authentic car care products and furniture care products.
  • We currently seek a Business development Manager to join the team.

Mission for the Role

  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales executives
  • Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships
  • Identify emerging markets while being fully aware of competition status
  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities
  • Prepare and deliver presentation on products and its uses
  • Researching prospects and generating leads
  • Own and advance relationship with key clients
  • Continuously refine and iterate on the sales strategy that aims to reach millions of customers in need of company’s product
  • Ability to use data-based insights derived from the field to improve repeat sales
  • Identify and assess sales channels to expand sales coverage across distributors, corporation and final consumer.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing / Business Management from a reputable institution (Masters is an added advantage)
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Marketing in a senior role of B2B and B2C sales environment
  • An in-depth experience in marketing/sales of product
  • Experience in Product Sales
  • Knowledgeable on how to prepare a sales plan, sales map and sales calendar
  • Target driven and ability to deliver results
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
