Job Position: Collection Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Coordinate efforts to collect customer payments with sales, accounting, and guards departments.
  • Deliver invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Create plans and strategies for collecting payments from customers.
  • Maintain electronic records and hard copies of all payments, amounts paid, and communications.
  • Maintain relationship with client contact persons.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a similar field.
  • At least 1 year of work experience.
  • Previous experience working as a Collections Officer.
  • Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of office and accounting software.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with state payment collection strategies.
  • Patience and resilience.
