Job Position: Account Officer

Job Location: Lagos-Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The aim of this role is to aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate financial information and undertaking related accounts administration.
  • Monitor all financial data and prepare accurate statements for the company.

Job Responsibilities
Management Accounting:

  • Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
  • Developing and managing financial systems/policies
  • Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
  • Undertaking financial administration and internal audits including that of sales and stock.
  • liaising with managerial staff, other colleagues and subordinates
  • Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value.

Financial Accounting:

  • Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  • Forecast costs and revenues
  • Manage tax payments
  • Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
  • Analyze financial trends
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Master’s in Business Administration or any other relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of marketing and business development with minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting processes.
  • Knowledge of inventory management Processes
  • Knowledge of Management accounting processes
  • Environment / Industry knowledge
  • Computer proficiency
  • Strong Analytical & Numerical Skills
  • Good record keeping and documentation skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience of working in hospitality industry will be desirable.

Salary
N50,000 - N60,000 Monthly.
