We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Data Analyst

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Purpose of Job


  • The Data Analyst is responsible for identifying business trends and changes through advanced Big Data Analytics and using a variety of techniques to interpret results from multiple data sources through statistical analysis, data aggregation, and data mining.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking data collection, pre-processing and analysis
  • Building Models to address business problems
  • Presenting information using data visualization techniques
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
  • Combine models through ensemble modeling
  • Present information using data visualization techniques
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
  • Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
  • Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
  • Responsible for cleansing of large unstructured data and enabling analytical capability in order to query the data and address various business needs.

Education / Professional  Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum relevant degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage

Key Skills & Competencies Requirements:
Functional/ Technical:

  • Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
  • Knowledge of Google Functions, Google Big Query, Google Cloud Storage, Stitch Data.
  • Understanding of machine learning and operations research
  • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
  • Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra).

2.) Head, Data and Insights

Job Location: Lagos

Key Accountabilities

  • Collecting, preparing, organizing, protecting, and analysing data assets while ensuring that Wakanow meets industry best practices
  • Leading interdisciplinary teams, improving and streamlining data systems within Wakanow, and driving innovation.
  • Building, maintaining, and improving the existing business intelligence and analytics tools within Wakanow
  • Implementing data privacy policies and complying with data protection regulations.
  • Determine where to cut costs and increase revenue based on insights derived from data.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and data strategy.
  • Designing and implementing data strategies and systems.
  • Effectively communicate the status, value, and importance of data collection to executive members.

Requirements
Key Skills & Competencies Requirements:
Functional / Technical:

  • Highly skilled in the use of SQL
  • Demonstrate skills in Power BI, Tableau, analysis services, or any other data visualization tools
  • Good understanding of A/B testing
  • Vast knowledge in the identification of key metrics that measure and drive long-term health of the business.
  • Perform complex queries that ultimately lead to improvements in business performance
  • Highly proficient in the workings of data technologies such as Hadoop, Teradata

3.) Group Treasury Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Objective / Purpose of Job

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive treasury strategy that aligns with the company's financial objectives, ensuring efficient cash management and liquidity across all locations.
  • Monitor and manage financial risks such as currency fluctuations, interest rate movements, and counterparty risks by implementing appropriate hedging strategies.
  • Liaise with local and international banks to negotiate optimal financing arrangements, manage banking relationships, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to forecast cash flow, create budgets, and support decision-making with accurate financial analysis and reporting.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets, minimize risks, and optimize cash utilization.
  • Coordinate with regional teams to ensure seamless integration of treasury operations, sharing best practices, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a professional certification such as CFA, ACCA, ACA, or ACT is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional treasury operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of treasury management principles, financial markets, and risk management strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with treasury management systems.
