Speedaf is a joint-venture company formed from the YIWILL Holdings and ZTO in 2019. We are currently building an intra-Africa and China-Africa service network to support air, road and sea transportation with the aim to be the leading diversified integrated logistics solution provider between China and Africa. Speedaf offers a variety of products and services with value added service to cover different business or personal scenarios for our customers. Since our launch, Speedaf has continued to expand its global network, developing products, improving customer experience, and introducing IT technologies and equipment to realize automatic operations.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Legal Officer


Job Location: Berger, Ogun State
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Draft a wide variety of legal agreements.
  • Provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.
  • Monitor the maintenance of the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
  • Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures.
  • Analyze and review legal agreements, legislation and documents for the Legal Manager and Management.
  • Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.
  • Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and job functions.
  • Ensure the development of service level agreements for service support and delivery.
  • Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or Law.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience working as a Legal Officer.
  • Must be Familiar with Legal terminologies, Legal Procedures, protocols and Court System.
  • Must have working knowledge of Case Management Software
  • Experience in the Logistics field is an added advantage.
  • Must possess Excellent Communication skills.
  • Must pay attention to details.
