Job Position: Project Management Assistant

Job Description

  • We are recruiting a detail-oriented Project Management Associate to support efforts at an Incubation Center of Excellence in Ibadan, Nigeria.
  • The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Project and centre manager, engaging stakeholders and ensuring timelines are adhered to. 

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor the progress of the centre’s activities; develop and maintain records, filing and profiling systems and liaise with the centre manager to support their progress.
  • Develop drafts and contribute to final written material including reports, summaries and syntheses of information arising from research.
  • Apply quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies to the collection, analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Keep an archive for all project documents and provide it when needed.

Stakeholder Support:

  • Provide direct assistance to the Project Manager on all aspects of the Center.
  • Support the day-to-day work of the Center to team members as needed (i.e. provide feedback on reports and or interviews, draft documents, help draw out key themes from data and be able to facilitate small-scale training sessions).
  • Liaise with centre partners, including faculty and staff and community partners.
  • Organize, attend and contribute to the Center’s events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Communication or any related field.
  • Having more than 1 year of relevant experience in a project management or similar position is a bonus.
  • Experience working effectively with and understanding the needs of culturally and ethnically diverse populations.
  • Proven skills in project management
  • Knowledge of office software packages (MS Word, Excel).
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills with attention to details.
  • Excellent analytical skills; with the ability to retrieve, organise and analyse information from a variety of sources.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met, with the ability to prioritise workload without close supervision.

Job Position: Accountant

Job Description

  • The accountant will be responsible for preparing accounts, budgeting and managing financial information.
  • The Accountant will prepare and examine financial records; assuring information is up to date and accurate.
  • Accountant will reconcile bank statements and calculate tax payments and returns.
  • He/she will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses

Duties

Qualifications

  • 1.5 to 3 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Minimum B.S.C in accounting.
  • A hands-on experience with accounting software
  • An advanced Ms Excel skill including pivot tables
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
  • Strong attention to details and good analytical skill
  • Additional certificates in the field are a plus.

Job Position: Finance Manager

Job Description

  • The Finance Manager will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as processing and posting of financial transactions, invoicing, bank reconciliation, producing financial reports and support the management team in making informed business decision in the short and long term.

 Roles and Responsibilities

  • Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
  • Review accounting processes, practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Support with project billing, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and remittance of monthly taxes to the appropriate tax authorities.

  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making across the organization.

  • Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. Degree in Financial Management, Economics, or related field.
  • A Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA)
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Finance Manager.
  • Proficient in excel spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, costing and information analysis.
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, tax laws, money market and business environment.
